Thanks for an interesting site, i've just bought myself a Uke and was searching the Net trying to find out how to get a tune out of it. I'm not that far away, only in Prescot so i'll try to get up to Wigan and see how the experts do it.
I've told the misses i'm going to join a band and have groupies chaseing me but she says they wouldn't need to run very fast and i'd be no good for them anyway.

It will be my 50th birhday next year and I was wondering if it is to late to learn the Ukuele. My friend Graham got one for his birthday last year and he can't put it down! His wife has threatened him with divorce unless he pays alot more attention to her, how sad jealous of a man and his Ukulle. Play on Graham I love it!

Viewing your web site all the way from Down Under!
Special hello to our good friend Lynne Whittles - keep strumming Lynne and good luck with your new passion. Here's hoping that one day we will meet again to hear your Ukulele version of Waltzing Matilda! Much love and keep strumming! xxxx

Just to say that I have been to a meeting at the Strummers and Grinners at Swinton, and Gary told me of your club. As always it seems as though the Ukulele is causing new friendships to be made and different types of music to be enjoyed. Good Luck
